Aim: The workshop is introducing German TVET programs in the field of urban and rural water and wastewater management through the German Federal Institute for Vocational Education and Training (BIBB) as well as practical experiences in the field of water and wastewater management through The German Association for Water, Wastewater and Waste (DWA).


WORKSHOP TOPICS

The German dual TVET system;

Urban and rural water and wastewater management in Germany;

The development of nationwide recognized and practice oriented training regulations;

Skills and competences of water supply engineering technicians and master craftsmen in water supply engineering;

Skills and competences of sewage engineering technicians and master craftsmen in sewage engineering;

Activities of the German Association for Water, Wastewater and Waste in Iran

  • Introduction of a “Modular Wastewater Training System” (Persian material)
  • Pilot project “Quick Response (QR) Codes in Wastewater Management”
  • Competition of water and wastewater occupations at World Skills 2017

 

Audience: technical staff, managers and engineers of urban and rural water and wastewater governmental companies and private companies as well as government representatives in charge of curricula design in the field of water and wastewater management.
